About us
Ever since the beginning, zeroPoint! Gaming main object as an organization as been to help, aid and support the gaming communities we are involved in. Whether it is running a league or tournament, an offline event or simply host a community website we are in it for the love of the game and the desire the support what need support.
zeroPoint! Gaming’s main objective since the start has been to support games and communities in the alternative gaming scene with the aim to make the games stronger and the scenes more competitive. Through our community based website, zpgaming.eu, we have the perfect tool to do so.
Launched in 2004 zpgaming.eu quickly became the centre of the competitive Day of Defeat scene in Europe and it still is today, 6 years later. Over the years we have grown to not only feature Day of Defeat but also games like the Call of Duty-series, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and more.
Our main target with zpgaming.eu is to reach out to the competitive side of a game through news, features, event coverage, interviews and also with own leagues, tournaments and other events. In August 2009 we had our first own branded offline event in co-operation with WZZRD’s Gamecenter in Enschede, Netherlands which was a huge success with hundreds of Day of Defeat gamers attending.
In July 2010 we plan to host two new offline events, one for Day of Defeat: Source and one for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Our goal with the BF: Bad Company 2 is to have the first, major offline event for this new, hyped game with the largest prize purse in 2010.
More information about our offline events can be found in the “zpgaming.eu LAN” section.
In the summer of 2010 we will launch a completely new version, both design and code, of our website.
zeroPoint! Gaming does not only put focus on the community aspects of a game. We feature international top teams in several games such as Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Call of Duty 4 and Day of Defeat: Source. With the aim to become one of the leading professional organizations within our field we have come a long way since the beginning.
Over the years our teams have competed at numerous events around Europe (and USA) and our awards includes offline championship victories in the ‘Halo Worldwide Championships’ (USA), SLKS (Denmark), Anjougame 2009 (France), zpgaming.eu LAN (Netherlands), Wargames III (Germany), Gamersject (Hungary) and more. It also includes top placements at events like sHg Open (Denmark), Poznan Game Arena (Poland) and ESL Pro Series (United Kingdom). Online it features back-to-back championship titles in ESL Major Series as well as many more.
