If you're not interested in CS:S or the zeroPoint CS:Source team then you probably won't care about what I'm about to write. However I just feel I need to vent my frustration; that after 7 years of FPS gaming, Enemy Down is still hands down the worst pile of shit to ever grace the competetive gaming scene.
Some of you might or might not be aware that we have been playing preseason of their CS:Source league. This to qualify for their main event; the highest divison with prize money even for just playing matches. Things went quite well despite being a new team, and we managed to go through our group with 3 wins, 0 losses and a round difference of +48.
We were quite confident of being placed in one of the higher divisions, if not the highest, since we had the best round difference in the whole qualifier. However we were quite surprised to see our selves placed in the ninth (9th) division. Taking a closer look on the tables, the team we beat quite easily in the last preseason match, MOD-Ice, were placed in the fourth divison.
It then came as no surprise when it was revealed that the admin in charge of the group selections was actually a part of the team we beat. His reasoning for putting us in the ninth division was that he wasn't "sure how strong we were". One can only be curious as to what the preseason was for.
Long story short, we're obviously not going to play. It will be a waste of time not only for ourselves, but for our opponents. We, nor they, shouldn't have to suffer because of an, at best, incompetent admin.
We're now looking into playing other leagues with more well established and competent organisations, stay tuned for news on that in a near future.
