The first week of the zP! Open Cup has already began, we have decided to provide full coverage for the event offering you with predictions of each group.
The event will run over 3 weeks and will have playoff finals. This Weeks map is dod_catania_rc2. In the first week, we shall see the highest seeding teams play it out, no point beating around the bush when it comes to playing games!
The main game of the week which has already been played out was
Spirit of Amiga versus 
DIMEGIO. Spirit of Amiga have recently changed half their roster and been playing as a team over some weeks now, they have even skipped the ESL Nations Cup to improve on their teamplay. The match was played and saw DIMEGIO run out winners by 7 fullcaps to 4, You can view the screenshots of the game here and here.

Well with the first game already played between SoA and DIMEGIO, Id expect one of the two teams about to play the chance to take full advantage and get a lead on their fullcaps.
e-load have changed names many times now, they been coreplay, welove and more! Id expect them to win this game, it will be close, Phenix have some very talented players but e-loads indivdal skills will be better on dod_catania_rc2. Expect mrk and suspect zero to be causing problems with their chosen weapons.

pma are becoming very infamous! they have some impressive talent and their teamplay is gelling again since their move and changes from myAtera. cBt are such an unpredictable team you do not know how they are going to play. I recon pma will have no major issues and will win easily
I am going to guess the team from the other side of the pond will win this, I think they can play with high pings easily and will use that to their advantage! It may be close but they will run out winners.

So here we go again with the next new event of zeropoint. Group C will be a close group because the teams are nearly the same skill. The only outsider is republic gaming i think, with Clan germany they got a strong opponent. Clan germany will win this easy on catania, they will rush the russians guys into the ground and win this by 8 fcs.
The 2nd match on this group is intresting. The swedish guys from casca against dA gaming. I think casca will make their first win in the opencup groupstage, because the dA gaming lineup has changed a lot that they must improve the teamplay with the new lineup. Casca will win this with 3 fcs.

Gamera- maelstorm wins by 5 fullcaps & nitRose wins by 2 fullcaps
maelStrom guys have proven during the zP! League Cup that they were a valuable team with good players and decent teamplay. I don't see logiX holding the frenchies on such a map, even though some of them are also quite good.
DLI vs nitroSe could be a tight match. Even if nitroSe showed some good results in their PCW's, they still gave a lot to prove in competitions. DLI players, on the other hand, can count on a good teamplay. Also, Hooligan and KForce, if they're in a good day, could give an advantage to their team. But nitroSe is not an team to underestimate, and it's why I see them win by 2 fullcaps.

diAmond are now forming a really strong team with a lot of skill and teamplay, they will easily beat myRevenge.fi. mz, roz have so much skill, they will run circles around myR. Expect a high scoring game.
coolcode is playing a lot of matches with very nice results against strong teams, they are growing too, with some players as zoltan or ruin, 2 lights to follow in the future. They will have no problems with the inexperience German side.

This game could be a nice one. The Spaniards have shown good things under their former name, and will surely try to prove that they didn't lose anything. The Finns have some good players and could be surprising if they show enough teamplay during the game. hellRaiser should win by 3 fullcaps though.
A 100% french match, but that won't be very interesting to watch. I've played both of these teams in the last two weeks, and none of them impressed me that much. SoA has more experience than naoWned, but also more teamplay. Besides, they seem to do perform great on this map lately. This should be an easy game for them, and they'll win by 6 fullcaps.

GGare improving a lot as a team, they have sorted their problems as a team and will be attending some LANs together. They have one game left in the league cup which could see them promoted. They have some very skilled players however against WT it could be interesting. JuDaS, pvd, omega etc are soo strong and have great teamplay that I expect them to win.
I think the Russians will beat the new team at iM Gaming. The former realitycheck team are inexperience and suffer from lack of teamplay in my opinion. The Russians have grown together over a long time and will win this map.

For this one im gonna go with nmR to win by 3 caps, having recently finalized their comeback line-up, they have added some great additions and the team play that existed between a few of them before, still exists and with a mix of that and great rifles I think nmR will prove too much for mA, however mouseAddicts have some skilled players, their rifles are solid together and they have some good team play. They are currently going into the playoffs against GentleGenocide which will give them some extra confidence.
Thiis match I can only seeing going one way, infinitus are growing stronger and stronger every day and with the addition of crassus, will undoubtedly overpower the new myatera line-up, infinitus heavies will be more than a match for myatera, but who knows.
