It's finally time for the $1000 ClanBase EuroCup XIII to be played. After many delays in the past weeks the date for the game is set to take place during next week. We can expect a great game between the currently two best teams in Europe who both teams went undefeated during the groupstage and the finns in Trademark Gamers have yet to lose a official match in Source. Their opponents in this final will be their british based arch enemies in BlitzKrieg.

With the final being played in the middle of the summer both teams have had problems with the activity and it will be interesting to see how well they have been able to prepare themselves for this final game. This time around it's not only pride they are fighting for but also $600 which will be given to the winners.

We can expect a great game between the two Day of Defeat: Source giants. Will Trademark Gamers be able to keep their amazing streak? Will BlitzKrieg be the first team ever to be beat them in a official match? We will hopefully be able to follow this battle on SourceTV.

Blythe - Trademark Gamers > BlitzKrieg by 9:3

This is what everyone has been waiting for. The final match of the DoD:S EuroCup has come upon us. The two finalists are no strangers, it's actually the same final as last seasons OpenCup, Trademark Gamers vs. Blitzkrieg.

Trademark don't really need an introduction anymore, they're the undisputed #1 for quite a while now and they don't seem to be willing to give up that spot any time soon. TmG haven't conceded a single cap against them during this EC so far and are looking strong as ever.

Blitzkrieg has also been one of the best clans in DoD:S for quite some time and BK had a relatively smooth way to the final aswell, although they had a hick-up vs. dtekt and a tense semi-final vs. fresh&tight, they are looking strong.

I think a lot of people would like to watch this match even though TmG are the clear favourites to take this prestigious title and some pocket money. If I'm being realistic I can't see BK winning this or even keeping it close, my prediction is that TmG will take home the title with a comfortable cap difference.

One of our Day of Defeat: Source writers, Alex "denizen" Millward, was able to get an interview done with a representive from each of the final teams where he asked them about how they have prepared for the game, their expectations of it and more.

The summer has been fun for most so far, with so many things going on, how have you team prepared for this match?

- We haven't prepared. :)

Are you worried that TmG have prepared well for this game?

- Not really, I think they are going to be strong with or without preparing.

So do you hope to win this game, or will it be played for fun only?

- Of course we hope to win. It would be stupif to be in an EC final and not want to go out and win it but at the same time its terrible timing for us and a lot of teams as the summer is here and people are out doing other things, which doesnt give us time to prepare.

Do you expect TmG to win this game?

- I think they are favourites to win no questions about that but if we can stop their caps on the axis round of anzio then we have a good chance as thats the only round they dominate.

BK haven't managed to prepare for this game, since it's summer, a lot of clans are very relaxed at the moment, but have TmG kept practicing or are you also as unprepared for this game?

- Well, as everyone except Tomsku and Filter have been working through the summer (not sure about Deltta though, he's a mystery anyways) and our newest addition KAZA^ (notice: CAPS & gayhat) doing the last bits of his army service, we have pretty much been taken in by the summer as everybody else.

But then again, it's not like such stuff would affect our gaming too badly unless it would go on for a much longer perioid of time, unless we forget how to play dod we should still be a force to be reckoned with.

Do you expect to win the game?

- Yes. After playing this far it would be a dissappointment to lose to anyone, especially in the EuroCup Finals. Unless we really fuck things up we should be able take this one home, but as we're playing against B*K we can't take too many chances. KAZA^ (GAYNESS TTM) really has to prove himself in this match.

Do you think BK will try to frustrate you with holding tactics, or to try and push you hard?

- Well, as premi, our mighty mother-figure, has thus far enlightened us, BK is not The Clan that plays with Ultimate Holding Tactics (ask premi for further details). So I except that apart from some situations BK will play offensively and it'll be an enjoyable game (if you BK guys dissapoint me I'll make d0 slash you with his whip hands).
