So, Anyone using one of the newer models?

Thought of getting myself a Mionix Zibal 60, but not quite sure yet.

Dunno what u mean with "newer models"

Just get best, Filco

/case closed

But on other hand if you don't wanna pay 140€~ I'm at least really happy with SteelSeries 6Gv2 but gonna buy Filco whenever this break up or when I just get tired to this :P

Because of light issue's and terrible eye sight, i'd prefer backlighting.

And filco's don't have backlight, and i don't think they have the swedish / nordic layout either:/

As i see it, the only options are BlackWidow from razer, but that uses blue cherry mx switches, and thoose are yuck. And then Corsair Vengence but then they use blue cherry mx aswell.

So Mionix seems like the only one smart enough to put together black cherry mx switches and backlighting... It's kinda expensive, but it looks worth it.

Exactly filco has nordic layout.. at least you can buy nordic's layout from finland. ;P

I like blue switches and gonna probably buy filco with blue switches at some point in future.

And about price, if you wanna get mechanical you must be ready pay more than for shitty normal plastic system thing.

http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard_details.asp?PRODUCT=763

its half swedish/half finish and labeled nkr.
HOW CAN SOMEONE NOT LIKE THAT BOARD? its worth every damn penny. that just cant be a coincidence.
:p

more topic related: have been running a Cherry g80-3000 with black switches for a little over a year now. good keyboard, pretty cheap model due to its age.
fyi: its also the same keyboard that steelseries sells as 6gv2. the only difference is the plastic around it (which is granted, higher quality on ss). if youre looking to try out a mechanical keyboard, i would reccomend that one. 50€ is pretty much a steal for a quality keyboard like that and you can pick your switchtype on that keyboard individually.
would go for blacks though if youre majorly into shooters.

// edit: also dont go for the razer keyboards. they dont support ps2 due to their flashy bs which means no n-key rollover

Yea, i noticed that about razer's. But also, they use only brown and blue, and i whant black. + I really need backlighting.

And i know you have to pay way more than a spungebob keyboard. But i won't pay 150 euros for a mechanical keyboard without backlighting. Not unless it's made of solid gold.

you wont find a mechanical keyboard with backlighting, unless you go for lower quality stuff as e.g. razer.
you always want your mechanical to be plugged in over ps2, which is simply not possible with backlighting.

Theese got great reviews. Great durability, swedish made. Wouldn't clal that lower quality. Sure, it has USB, but then again, can always re-modify it myself.

And for the record, backligting is possible with ps2, you just use a different connect source. Trickier, but it works.

Also saw the press-statement from Qpad:

// Full N-key roll over with USB!
The QPAD MK-85 is the world's first mechanical keyboard offering full N-key roll over via USB. Since the PS/2 connector is being phased out and several manufacturers of computers and motherboards do not offer this option, many gamers are left with no way of utilizing the benefit of the full roll over feature, because their gaming rig does not support that type of connection. With the MK-85, this will not be a problem. No more need for dual cables or a PS/2 to USB adapter. The groundbreaking technology of the MK-85 allows all the functionality of the board, such as USB hub, the red back light and the full N-key roll over, through the use of just one single USB cable. //

Well, if someone thought that, then they are obviously retarded.

I just like the feeling of them.

Those look awesome.

He already has some KBC Pokers (mx red & mx blue), a Realforce Topre, a Noppo Choc Mini (Mx brown), and some Cherrys with Mx black

I own a typical Cherry G80-3000 ;D

This is what u need guiz

Had a Steelseries G6 with blacks, was fucking awful.

You need browns, much better to type on.

I´m a happy G80-3000 with clear switches owner...47 eur brand new @ amazon. I wouldnt "waste" 130 in a filco, but that´s my point of view considering that the G80-3000 will do pretty much the same ;)

Well, i bought the Mionix Zibal 60. Fucking love the black cherry mx switches. Perfect for gaming, and quite decent, if not really good at typing. Just an awsome keyboard, back to back.

18 %s is offline Spain mataenanos 2012-02-09 10:25:03 CET

nice keyboard. A bit expensive for my taste...anyway backlight keyboards are expensive.

Maybe the black switch is a bit hard, but again...that is my personal opinion.

Thinking about getting Qpad MK-85 Pro that uses Cherry MX-Red.

20 %s is offline Sweden mehailz 2012-02-18 14:53:09 CET

I've tried that keyboard out. It's good looking, performs well, though the red switches are really light on the touch.

21 %s is offline Sweden Beluga 2012-02-18 17:58:45 CET

Yepp, that's why Im interested in that one. Got a board with MX-Black already and I feel they might be a bit too much to get a more gentle movement with.

Get a Filco keyboard with brown switches.

23 %s is offline United States of America Arachnid 2012-02-28 21:33:44 CET

CM quickfire storm rapid, Cherry MX Red. It also comes with brown or black switches if you prefer them but I like the linear/light feel of red.
