I am dissatisfied with my Roccat Kone+ and looking up a brand new mouse.
But I have no time to go for it in every stores and to inform me, so I want you even ask for advice and to reduce the selection.
In this sense - thx

there is no freaking reason to buy a g500. why in gods name would u do that? pay more for a inferior mouse?
if you like the logitech shape the g400 is the only way to go. unless you like the laser of the g500 spazzing around making you look like you play with parkinsons.
fucking laser mice

and why should a infrared mouse be better than a laser? because that's pretty much the only difference between the g400 and g500...
my last 2 or 3 mice have been laser. that's why i would buy a laser again...

cause a infrared mouse is has the less sensitive sensor. i know that sounds counter-intuitive, but sooner or later you will have problems with a laser sensor. for most laser mice right at the start.
a big chance is that the lasermouse will get either negative or positive acceleration when moving the mouse too fast on your pad. or that it just stops halfway in the motion. or that a bit of dust on your mousepad or a other coloured spot on your pad will make the mouse go nuts.
nothing but trouble i tell you.
and for that you even have to pay more? yea, right. noone in their right minds would do that :P
aside from that, theres another big major difference between the g500 and the g400. the new version of the g400 - the one that gets shipped out now exclusively - has no prediction (or angle snapping, however you want to call it) anymore. logitech mice always had that and i personally was very comfortable with it. being a long time logitech user i had to switch to the g400 2 or 3 weeks back and honestly, without prediction the goold old mx518 is even better

cant really complain about my razer mamba except the prize for it :P and sometimes its felt like its accelerates the sensitivity for no reason but only for like 1-2 sec and its really rarely. Otherwise I can recomend it but its cost alot sadly :P
