Very disappointed on this first episode. We ended the season with the ghosts/shadows from the north practically attacking, and all of a sudden a group of humans passes north without any troubles to a dude's house and his daughters ?! wtf

The white walkers were not on the verge of attacking the wall at the end of season 1.
I am really enjoying the series so far. It is following the books perfectly at the moment whilst adding in a few brilliant extra scenes that weren't like the Cersei and Littlefinger scene and the Robb v Jamie scene.

well yeah if i recall they made it seem like it was imminent and you could hear them screaming and whatnot ?
EDIT : Meh whatever they really made it a girlie show like the tudors so far with more family conflicts than anything else, let's hope the fighting will come soon, cause i'd be bored already if it wasn't for the dwarf's humour ^^

You do realise they are following the books? They are not making the show anything that the books aren't. The whole point of this show isn't always about battles and the violence. It is about the characters, how they interact with each other, the constant backstabbing and family conflicts that make the show interesting.

#9 done ... and it's fine to talk about conflicts all day but this is too slow imo. There's different ways to follow books on the screen.

the action scenes in GoT is beyond bad. Stick to what you do best, the drama. That battle in EP9 turned into a joke when stanis attacked after the "Boom"
