Hej.
I know the game is pretty dead right now. But I know a lot of you still read things on this forum. Some of you still want to play but don't have a team, some of you have a team but no opponent. In a matter of months its time to gather up.
The coming autumn I'm hoping that a bigger crowd of players will come back to fill the little scene we've got left. Just by posting what I'm about to post.
Each autumn we have the most activity and I'd like to tell you all that if we can get enough teams(around 10), TPG will allow us to start our own euro league on their site.
A while back some people from TPG came and asked us if we wanted to play in a league where europeans play vs americans. None of us where very intrigued and as I understood it, it never became a success. Especially since ping is a pretty big business in this game. What striked me though, was that no matter if you are north american, south american or european, we should still be playing within the same community but under different leagues. The scene is too small to be split up like this, we should all be under one roof.
The best thing about TPG is that their main focus is DoD, not 20 other games like in ED. There are about 40 clans competing in DoD 1.3 on TPG as some of you already know. If you ask me, I'd say its time they add a european league aswell. The head admin of DoD 1.3, Narc, said to me that he can put up a European league, all he needs is an dedicated admin and shown interest from enough teams to make a league working. This is a great opportunity to expand another DoD community, and for us to be a part of. A step in the right direction to keep the game alive.

All the 1.3 players in TPG use a community called 1911 for those that haven't heard about it(www.NineteenEleven.org). There you can find articles, live streaming from matches with commentary and also their own forum of course.
Season 28 has just started and will end somewhere in June/July. All of us know that we go very much inactive during the summer. And since the Eurocup in football will be played during June Im seeing a lot of dropouts. So my opinion is that we give this a serious shot after the summer, when Season 29 starts. I will repost this post right before the season starts, for those that aren't active here now.
That's everything from me. Thanks for your time. And I hope this will make some players feel that it's worth coming back this autumn cause this is a new chance given to us. Just make sure to create a team. Not enough teams = no league.

I think I'm going to play if there's enough with teams, to bad I'm moving to a new town in June/July/August to study.
I wouldn't be surprised if a few US teams want to play.
Don't forget to play 12man*. They don't like people with high ping, but they are fine with it and accept it. (I played with ping on 250+).
* I don't know the vent login to Checkmate vent, so if CAss can post it here(or someone else) or if you ask someone who play 12man often. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/nineteeneleven .

good luck, I think you'll need it! there's just no interest in playing at the moment it seems. maybe it will change after the summer but I doubt it!
if it does work, I think we'd have to split zoo into 2 teams at least. it's not quite fair to have the 6 best players on one team, everyone would just give us default wins anyway

#6 rofl! the 6 best players? I can do the same work as any of you when playing in the same team! And for let you know, being the best team doesnt mean that you have the 6 best players...
Anyway, im not trying to say you are not awesome players, but the way you said that people will think dod1.3world spining around you! ;)

lets not leave topic here. im not gonna have this post turned into a flamewar about what players are best in europe.
i might be naive, so be it, but this is what dod needs to even have any chance at all, and everyone should welcome this with open arms.
wether zOo should split or not is zOo business.
no reason to predict what autumn will look like, wont change anything.. dod is what it is for now.. but the topic focuses on what could be, its up to the teams and players now to show some interest.

I don't think its unfair to say that zoo has the 6 best players. or even the 8, 10 best players. last few nightcups were just 1000 point blowouts or defwins, nobody will give us a decent game, so I made the reasonable suggestion that we should split into 2 teams, to make it fair and fun for everyone. Then you start claiming you're as good as anyone on zoo (srsly?) and then start trying to lecture me on the dynamics of team fps? :D I have no idea who you are, but you should stop getting so fucking butthurt because i am just stating facts you little shit :D

#14 srsly im not saying zoo dont have the best players, what i tryed to say was that i probb do same work if i played along with other 5 good players...its fair that zoo its the best team, i dont doubt it, and at least they have nice teamplay. anyway if you still remember EvC vs Zoo on anzio, 1st half was really close, but then 2nd half one player start to dropping, im not saying that we win if this didnt happen but sure that would be a decent match...and if i were shit as u said, i didnt aced zoo at plaza as i did ;) stating facts!
anyway, im not annoying but your ego++ comments bring the shit out of me.
you were the one favourite dod1.3 players of all time and im feeling sad that when i start playing the scene of 1.3 was on top level and i was nothing then a pubber! :)

WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY IS THAT THE BEST PLAYERS ARE NOT ONLY ZOO PLAYERS...BUT THERE'S STILL PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT CAN BE AS GOOD AS ZOO PLAYERS...the difference is that zoo put those players all in the same team..ffs and i still saying if you sub any member of your 6 best players on one team i probb do the same shit as i play with 5 skillwised guys and stuff's went down much easier...if you ask stin he knows what im talking about...So if we switch positions and i play in zoo and you play in EvC...would that make any difference? Probb the stuff's will be the same...as it was. And that my friend doesnt make me the best or in your case the worst...vice.versa.

For years I have been annoyed by people (especially new kids) who year by year claimed (especially before summers) "man dod is really dead now".
Mostly because it has been a sort of stable dead game since about 2006. Slowly dying with a number of meaningless cups left.
But now even I am at the point where I think dod is really dead now. I havent played in clans for over a year but I can't even find any more public servers with no bots on. The ones I do find have way to many bad mods that mess up my reg, make sure I explode @ random, bots who are allowed to slay me after teamkills or other weird stuff. The severs without these mods have admins that ban me because I'm not suppose to fire from spawn. Not even when im defending our first. The others like BR have a bunch of idiots that do nothing more than sit in a corner with a knife. Or prone the bottom of donner church for 20 mins with a bazooka facing ceilling incase some1 comes by every 5 minutes.
I would rather be banned from all these servers than being tempted to play more on these (because I know I will join when there are no bots, a ban to stop myself if the best option).
As far as clanned games go. I refuse to play 15 year olds with 12 digit steam ID's that own me in situations where i have a clear advantage (situations like standing behind flowers on harri scope vs light). The blank case showed that no one is willing to catch cheaters anymore. Unless you count the french saying some1 cheats, but not acting. And also I refuse to do this myself, nor do I have the time. The only reason I caught blank was because his out of this world ego was just too much for me to handle. Not even mentioning Swav. The guy that I caught 2 years ago who had the same ego and was sending in demo's for a fragmovie where he was obviously tracing and hacking. A thing obviously made popular by "I lost my hltv, but I am able to make 9 trace induced fragmovies in a time period of 1 year" Su. This game is seriously messed up.
Look at last ED cup. A clan went from signing up straight to the final on default wins. How many clans are left ? 3? Reveving this scene with a new cup is something I would only recommend to people who have alot of time and are not affraid to get seriously frustrated by default wins or random cheaters.

why are people so frustrated - I think it is a pretty awesome feat for this game to be alive for 11-12 years.
I think we all should salute dod, watch some oldschool dod-movies and move to greener pastures :).
p.s. I still love to play dod from time to time, nothing wrong with that people!

If we get enough teams they will decide if it's okay for us to proceed with our plans with a league. They're not gonna put in hours of work if there's no interest. So if we get that far that we actually can see a future matchdate then we will look at who will run the league. I'm up for it. It's all up to them to decide after we see who sign up. We'll take it step by step but it's nice to see people willing to help out. And I'm sure, if the day comes, we'll need help.

#47 I suggest if this league will run, we should put dod_emmanuel _inu_b1 _aleutian lindbergh_b1 and _muhle_b2 on map pool list! And please don't start saying stuff about that maps cuz we need to play new fresh maps among with old ones otherwise if we play only lennon donner harrington anzio solitude and railroad it will be bored! From what I know americans always have 1/2 custom maps on their maps list for season! Hope to see some feedback!
