the fight might be a disapointment. But everything about Act 3 is so good. The cinematic, the layout of the map and objectives are much better than the rest..

3 %s is offline England An1maL 2012-05-21 12:42:00 CEST

i was a bit dissapointed by what i played (about 5-6 hours so far). the combat seems so dull and repetitive ... i was just pointing and clicking, with a very limited variety of spells etc to choose from. didn't see where the depth in skill was gonna come from to keep me wanting to come back!

in addition it was waaaaaay too fucking easy., didn't come close to dying once. i know you have to play through the game on the easiest setting to unlock harder settings...but still...

also i don't like the fact that the storyline is totally linear. there is one obvious location to go and you're pretty bottlenecked in that direction, so there's not much sense of exploring. it felt like playing crash bandicoot on the PS1 or something (and the graphics werent actually that much better :D )

the only saving grace so far is, its quite fun to collect nice gear, and its a massive plus to be able to play with your friends on vent

Dont talk difficulty if u are still on normal mode..

U knew what kind of game diablo was before you bought i hope.

are there any good community sites for d3, where you can check out builds, places to farm, etc?

10 %s is offline Denmark readeh 2012-05-22 00:48:33 CEST

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/ official forum but still some good builds in there.
Or else take a look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sedx6PmmLS8 - http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#WRdVjX!!YcccYZ

lvl 60 barb on inferno doing good in act 1 and getting raped in act 2.

Edit: Go back to your SF4 mutley!

11 %s is offline Germany micHiiii zeroPoint! Gaming  2012-05-22 00:52:59 CEST

hit the same brick readeh. the problem is that as melee char you have no chacne going past act 1 solo unless you have good equip. and that equip is to be found in act 3/4....
in group play a barb however is needed. but you need to get lucky to get a monk/barb + 2 dd combo ;o

12 %s is offline Denmark readeh 2012-05-22 05:24:32 CEST

Yeah been farming act 1 for 2 days now and only found a handful of good loot.
It's so hard to gear up for barb because you need a balance between dps and staying alive while the other characters mostly just go full dps

Playing with a wizard and demon hunter and i feel kinda useless with my low dps and sometimes horrible at tanking depending on what elite mob we fight.

atm i only do about 6.5k to 8.0k dps depending on the gear i use. Had to lower my dps to get enough health to survive the hits and got about 360 to 450 all resist, i figure i need atleast 600 to 650 resist but still in act 2 the mobs hit about twice as hard as in act 1.

13 %s is offline Germany micHiiii zeroPoint! Gaming  2012-05-22 06:17:56 CEST

the worst part about that is that those glass cannon wizards tank even better then you do as barb and as monk - once they hit halfway decent equip.

whenever we try to progress in a group it basicly just comes down to me running away from enemys and using my mantra. not really what i imagined it to play out. sadly.
and if shit goes down and i really have to tank my rep costs multiplies whatever i get out of these runs as i die horrible deaths every freaking time.
;(

#7 nv is bad. honestly. the time and money you have to spend to get it to a decent stack outweights the benefits you get from it. champion groups are harder to kill then bosses. and you need to kill them in order to get nv up. in areas where you can farm decent gear (act 3 & 4 inferno) you just die 20-30 times trying to get one group down.
its practical for doing runs where you can take out champ groups with lesser trys but that means also lesser items. blue items out of act4 are WAY better then anything you can get with nv atm.
you're better of farming a specified farming spot with mf gear and just relog.

Sadly it's a breach in Blizzard's security, people with authenticators also get their characters wiped.

for hell.. hmm.. i remember spamming bola shot like a boss..

about ½ way trough act 2 on inferno atm..

:<

34 %s is offline England mattiiii 2012-05-29 18:52:21 CEST

ermm I use life steal one with 65% dmg reduction. vault with the knockback where I land, prep with the 60% hp rune, and traps with the root. then impaling shot with the 70% more dmg on consecutive impales. and elemental arrow with the life steal tendril things. If you dont have that rune yet use the chakram one, with the rune that lets you decide the distance it travels. Managing to Solo inferno pretty easily with this build.

level 43 DH

I believe??
it's not like I can login and check.
http://memearchive.net/memerial.net/4663/takes-your-60-usd-error-37.jpg

Whats up with the pricing anyway? 60 dollar and 60 euro's online? Makes no sense. Cheapest (non online) store sold it for 41euros (with member discount). Naturally sold out everywhere. I got lucky and got it somewhere else for 50e.

*edit

When you try to login againafter an entire day of error 37 and blizzard switched the error numbers from 37 to 73 you just know blizzard is deliberately trolling

36 %s is offline Denmark mutley 2012-05-31 09:07:19 CEST

Trolling??? no.. its just another example of their piss poor customer support. They know that most of their fans are brainless sheep that will play their game no matter how they treat them.

Beyond pathetic that they cant manage a game of this size with the money they get.

37 %s is offline Finland nkr zeroPoint! Gaming  2012-05-31 15:25:10 CEST

You can't actually "test" your servers to handle 20 million people logging in at the same time. There is bound to be fuckups.

38 %s is offline Denmark mutley 2012-05-31 18:07:20 CEST

20 million :/ the game havnt sold that amount yet. Ofc there will always be issues when launching a game of this size but its getting silly.

Cant log in at 18.00 on a thursday.. and when i get in, i get booted back out after 5 mins of play.. only to be in the same position as before.

39 %s is offline Denmark readeh 2012-05-31 18:25:15 CEST

Blizzard ain't spending another dime on servers! :DDD

40 %s is offline United States of America -bri 2012-05-31 20:03:54 CEST

staying logged-in on the menu screen helps ;D until they purposely are down for maintenance. been logged in during all this crap

41 %s is offline Germany micHiiii zeroPoint! Gaming  2012-05-31 20:10:02 CEST

last blizzard game im gonna spend a dime on likely.
the game has been out for nearly 3 weeks and the servers are down for non-maintenance related issues nearly every day on primetime?
you gotta be shitting me.

42 %s is offline Denmark mutley 2012-05-31 20:37:31 CEST

Its fun to think that blizzard have run serverdependant games for how many years now??

#43 no :(

45 %s is offline Germany micHiiii zeroPoint! Gaming  2012-05-31 21:33:36 CEST

no srsly patrik, i know you're the number 1 blizzard fanboy and probably sleep in a blizzard fan pyjama, but even you have to realize that what blizzard does with diablo 3 atm is blizzards own waterloo.
they are forcing us to play a singleplayer (!) game online, 100% of the time, and then after 3 weeks they still dont have enough servercapacities to let people play. they completly lost consumer goodwill with that shit. its ridiculous.

oh yea and mczbot#2648 btw

46 %s is offline Finland nkr zeroPoint! Gaming  2012-05-31 22:38:57 CEST

scumbag michii, plays diablo 3 24/7 while hating on it D:

I havn't had any server problems apart from the first two days! Also diablo isn't a single player game D: Making your own stuff up and then judging them on the stuff you made up makes for very bad arguments

47 %s is offline Germany micHiiii zeroPoint! Gaming  2012-05-31 23:39:48 CEST

whiteknight patrik, always jumps in to rescue blizzard's honor

im not hating on the game, im hating on the service provided by blizzard. and yes, when im farming - which is atm 80% of the time spend ingame, i do it solo. alone. in a singleplayer enviroment.
its unheard of that you can't even play the singleplayer part of the game because activision's new moneymilking whore blizzard is too greedy to get the needed ammount of servers on.
its not a coincidence that the authentication problems jump on at primetime - when most people play.

but knowing you, you will twist that statement again and then claim my logic is flawed. as per usual. doh
