All good things must come to an end and sadly this has happened within the PDEG.Wombat team which has been playing at the top of the game now for some time. No, they are not folding and Yes we will still see the Wombat tag around but the majority of players have decided to move on under the leadership of ZEUS whilst Duality will stick with the Wombats and lead a new group of players in the up and coming ESL Spring League. More news to follow on this is the coming days.

I took the time out to catch up with Alexander and ask him some questions on his team.

First of all, You have been with PDEG for so long now, why have you and the majority of the former pdeg.wombats team moved on to KG.Clan?

We wanted to start somthing new as a group of players, We have kinda grown bored of all the serious business shit of day to day playing. We wanna take it easy and enjoy playing the game and not worry about results and stuff, sadly this wasnt possible under pdeg

You have had some good times with PDEG, why have you decided to represent KG in Day of Defeat Source from now on?

After PDEG we tried to find a team which respects our wishes and also has its familiar atmosphere what we were used to in PDEG. I think KG is a good choice for us, they have never had a Day of Defeat Source team and it will be good for both parties to get involved and work together.

Tonight, you won the third place play off in the ESL QualiCups, well done! What are your hopes for the up coming ESL Season in the premier division?

We will try our best to represent us as a team which can still bring a good fight even when we are not taking this game so serious anymore.

It is not long now till the ESL Spring League kicks off. So far there has been two qualifier events held to see who will join FirstFrag, mysTix and our very own zeroPoint!

In the very first qualifier held a week ago, we saw Peculiar run out winners over pod in the final and PDEG win there third place play off to gain their spots in the top division. The second qualifier is currently being played, we shall see muppets and huhu through and they will be joined by either KG or DkH
