Right before the start of
Kwazq #3, the Danish team
directhit.steelseries seemed to have folded, as none of their players were wearing clantags whatsoever. What has happened? Would they fold after the LAN? What the team even going to attend the LAN? A few questions were posed and during the LAN answers were given out. The Danish DoD:S team
directhit have played well at the
zP! LAN #1 (placing in the top 8, after beating strong opponents like
D4gaming). More than two months later, they managed to surprise the scene with their victory against their Danish rivals
SoA, with a convincing score of 9-3. With this victory, the upcoming
ClanBase Premier League playoffs are easy to reach. The team announced player changes more than a month ago and it seems that the new lineup is doing what team captain
hvalpen was hoping for. Their results speak volumes and even their fourth place at the Danish LAN last weekend was satisfying. The third place went to the LAN-mix team
copyriot who beat
directhit with a mere diffirence of two tickpoints only! The promising results of directhit weren't left unnoticed, as the Danish eSports organisation
Viborg eSports wanted to engage the Danish team. After a mutual agreement between the Danish organisation and the Danish team, a decision was made. The team around hvalpen will be playing as
Viborg Vipers from now onwards. The Danish organisation released a statement concerning their latest addition.
The old directhit squad also released a short statement concerning their move to a new home.Viborg eSport statement:
Today we proudly present Directhit as our Viborg Vipers DOD:S team.
We see a big potential in this team, and we expect them to develope even further during their stay at Vipers and become even better then they are now.
The team have proved that they belong to the top within both national and internation DOD:S, furthermore the team has a unique spirit which is yet another reason that we believe this is the start of a sublime good co-operation.
The ambitions and expectations of this co-operation are huge from both sides; on behalf of Viborg Electronic Sports Association I'm pleased to bid Directhit a warm welcome and are looking forward to a long and good co-operation.
The team hasn't changed their lineup since the previous newspost, so they'll continue with the following players:ex-directhit statement:
It is with great pleasure that we today can announce that directhit from this day will be playing under the name Viborg Vipers and be a part of Viborg eSport.
We have been negotiation with Viborg eSport in a couple of days and have together created a contract that both the team and Viborg eSport can accept and we are very satisfied with the co-operation that we today have taken the first step toward.
Viborg eSport is a top professional organisation and we are looking forward to a successful co-operation with these great guys and their huge amount of initiative. Furthermore we would also like to welcome the teams new manager, Rune 'Breezer' Kristensen, who also is manager for the other Vipers teams (CS:S and CS 1.6).
