Originaly a DoD 1.3 team, the
debores7 had moved to Day Of Defeat Source. They have produced a very impressive amount of results in their first TND season. I took some time out to interview one of their squad leaders, Raphael "naZzz" Ribeiro was happy to to chat, you will find the interview below.: Hello naZz! First introduce a little bit of the team, then explain to us how did you guys start playing?
Hi all. The team was made many years ago(7 years), probably one of the oldest DoD teams around, and our friendship was always above any kind of argument or little fights that every team has. I started playing for debores7 four and half years ago, but some of the players are still playing from the beggining. We have attended to many lan events, but only once with original roster, that we won with the score of 7wins to 0 losses.
You were a succcessful 1.3 team before moving over to Day of Defeat Source where you werent known. In only a short time, your now one of the best teams in Brazil, how does it feel ?
The migration was made one at a time. I came to Addict Team almost two years ago when there were no more DoD 1.3 leagues (I think I was the first one to come), but the guys were trying to rise again the scenario on 1.3 leagues. Many friends still had pub servers, but they didnt have enough experience on managing leagues... so they were still attending to North American Leagues. Our space on DoDs is from 1 month ago. I dont think we can say that we gained such great space on DoDs because we just played 3 games so far on a DoDs league. Our team always had great teamplay and the players always knew what they were doing in a match. After 1 year I started playing DoDs, Addict Team went inactive... then I decided to call all the members from old debores7 to join me on DoDs... some of them didn't even have DoDs. They used to say that DoDs was awfull, that they'd never play this shitty game and so on. NOW they love it ^^ and i'm happy for that because they addapted themselves verywell.
What do you guys think about South America scene and coverage being added zeroPoint! ?
Well, some people already are on zP scene for a long time. Some even with fake ID's ^^ hahahah. I think that if we had a chance to participate on Euro leagues, the Euro players would see that we dont stand so far behind on skill that they think we do. The BIG problem is the latency that doesn't help us at all to play them. I think that most Euro players that i've met are welcoming me and some friends very well, like: Doyka, t4rik, keskiolut and some others, giving us the opportunity to show our different points of view on similar things regarding the best damn game ever (DODS ^^).
Your team has progressed through the
The main task is to practice a lot haha, that is the only way to be on the top. It doesn't matter that we have many years of experience together. If we don't practice we'll never win. Regarding the group fase, it was a bit of luck we've got some low skilled teams and managed to beat them easily. We won against
