ESL 3on3 Winter Cup

The ESL has just announced that they will hosting their first 3on3 cup in a while. The tournament will take place from 16th January, 2012 until 9th February, 2012. Sign-ups are open from Monday, 9th January until Sunday, 15th January. It will follow the double elimination mode rules and the winner of matches will be determined with the Bo3 method.

The map-pool consists of:

- dod_anzio

- dod_argentan

- dod_kalt

- dod_avalanche

- dod_flash

- dod_salerno

- dod_donner

Each week admins will provide the teams with 5 maps to choose from, so we'll be sure to see some interesting matches with different maps each play-week.

the BlitzKrieg 2on2 cup ruled so this could be fun.

hehe if u think anzio 3on3 is bad try it on 2on2 ^^ works but not to great with 2 double cap flags :P but its a great challange.

anzio is one of the best 2v2 maps, so im quite sure it will work in 3v3 aswell. not kidding, the only map where you need to use your brain a little bit

I used to play anzio a lot in 2vs2 games on 1.3, and I agree with micHiiii, this is one of the best there. It really needs a lot of teamplay, and not only skills. On the other hand, salerno seems like impossible to me in 2vs2.

shame only 16 teams could sign up :/ tried when it said only 13 teams signed but said it was max. guess team where pending.. great fun with 2on2 and 3on3
