ESL Spring League
As it was stated in the announcement of Spring League 2012 we will have three qualifying cups. Three winners from each cup will take their place in the Premier division. Each cup will be hosted in the fastcup format at fixed days with two rounds per day.
Remember that in order to take part in QualiCups you have to pass through the main registration
of the Spring League 2012, otherwise your signup will be rejected. The deadline for the main registration is the 20th March 23:59 CET. Please sign up as soon as possible otherwise admins may not be able to give you a suitable place in a certain division. Read our announcement
But let us focus on the QualiCups. We strongly recommend you read what is written below in order to avoid any misunderstanding!
Spring QualiCups: Important info
- Format: 6on6, single elimination, 16 teams
- Timelimit: 2*15 minutes (download ESL config)
- Channel in IRC: #esl.dod
- Maps: will be announced in the matchsheets
- Time restrictions:
- Noshow time: 5 minutes.
- Time for demo request: 4 minutes after the match.
- Time to upload demo: 6 minutes after demo request.
- Time for protest: up to 10 minutes before next round (example: if next round starts 21:50 then deadline for protest is 21:40). If the result is confirmed, you have no right to write a protest.
- Time to upload screenshots (including Wire Anti-Cheat errors): 4 minutes after the match.
Given the fairly rapid pace of our Spring QualiCups, we will allow you to upload error screenshots of the Wire Anti-Cheat straight into the matchmedia. Remember that you won't be punished, only if there's no obvious fix in our FAQ's
. Keep in mind that the main time restrictions will be very tight. Your next opponent in the brackets may set a noshow for you if you didn't show up in time. Excuses like "my previous opponent has delayed the match, not me!" won't be taken in account.

French teams are missing their opportunity...particularly with Anjougame coming up
2012-03-14 00:40:47 CET
There was seedings for this? I thought it was random seedings, if that was anything other than random seeds.. xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
2012-03-14 01:14:32 CET
Anjougame was this week-end so they could have registered if they gave a fuck. Sadly I think that #12
are right, even if I always disagreed in the past.

apart from fAn and as an outsider to whatever happens 'inside' esl, the stuff doesnt look good. 80% german admins, benefitting their own teams as they please, poor english and problem solving skills.
just open a protest with a solid/valid point of view and whatch the admins destroy it by copy pasting rules without given a fuck by whats been said. I bet some of them even go to google translator to try to understand whats going on there
unfortunatelly rules only apply to some and it comes down to being "best internet buddies" with the admins to keep out of trouble.
and then you ask why you cant get 16 teams to play an hour when any random nightcup outside esl gets 16+ teams everytime with less publicity.. must be the community dying!

while you're right in some aspect, you're still the most awkward person to grace that page. Spouting rules etc trying to come across as a know it all when you're coming across as a childish little idiot who wants to get his own way, then pouts when he can't.
FTR, this is not relevant to your post above, just a little rant.

i'd like to see some examples of protests that you mentioned to check the quality of handling protests/support tickets, at least i will be able to explain admin decision i think. point that you bring isn't really right. i will list admins:
me. given fact that Gamera, Apone and fAn are halfactive atm there will be just me and Gerock. we're trying to do our best really. since Gerock and me have our own national sections we of course every day need help. so feel free to make an admin application! we need you.
p.s. i'm not trolling. every admin application is welcomed.
