After weeks of strenuous matches with an abundance of drama, rediculously close games and upsets, we are finally at the Grand Final of this seasons
ESL Major Series. If you didn't already know,
ESL have already announced that Day of Defeat: Source will feature in the
next season of EMS, which is great news.
So let's get down and dirty. The Grand Final of the most prestigous tournament in DoD:S. As you will know,
zeroPoint! soared through the upper bracket and were awaiting their fellow finalists after a close match in the upper bracket finals versus
rockit!. The French side overcame a resilient
Warrior Troopers in the lower bracker final, and now see themselves with an opportunity to upset the favourities once again, and a chance to spoil a hatrick of EMS wins for the
zeroPoint! side.
The two met in the upper bracket final where
zeroPoint! came out on top in an intense and mightly close battle, where two of the maps went right down to tick points, and
rockit where the side to take the only map by caps, and that was just by one! This previous score shows just how close these two teams are, and that anything can happen now.
With the upper bracker final in their back pocket,
zeroPoint! will be given a one map advantage, see it as they've already won the first map in a best of three. This will put the pressure on
rockit! now, as they have to win both maps to walk away victorious.

zeroPoint! Gaming:
"And here we stand again. Third EMS season for DoD:S, the third final for us and hopefully the third trophy aswell.
Since we managed to beat rockit in the Upperbracket Final already we just have to win one map out the two, which gives us a slightly favour. But on the other hand: Matches on this level have been freaking close this season, so everything can happen.
Salerno_comp is a map we dont like that much, neither does rockit BUT rockit is still good on that map. Lennon on the other hand will be a pretty pair match. Last time we just won on tickpoints and i dont really see us much stronger there then them. Nevertheless, we are confident to take home another title. Especially since Paul the Octopuss also placed his bets onto us.
We are looking forward to a fair game against rockit and want to wish them and the spectators in sourcetv a good match. Lastly we would like to thank all our sponsors!"

Since there is almost no chance zplan will happen, this should be our last match. We lost the WB final and only played once from this when zp kinda practised for this Grand Final so there's no need to say who's favourite here. Despite of that I think it will be a close game, at least we'll do everything to make so.

"You've got to give zeroPoint the benefit of the doubt here; they've been the utterly dominant team in Europe for the last three years and it honestly doesn't look as though that's going to change here. rockit comes into the final beating dimego, firstfrag and WarriorTroopers where as zeroPoint has already beaten rockit once along with clutchmasterz and rctic, an arguably harder berth to the final.
I think over all, rockit have the edge on zeroPoint's lights with mj proving more than capable during this season of EMS and HaVoK as always, looking comfortable. However, they're going to have to expend an awful lot of energy in preventing zP!'s micHiii and sagi rolling all over them. It'll be close, it was in the Upper Bracket Final, but I see zP taking this for their third sucsessive EMS title."

#33 Top 4 teams drop out, their members say its their last dods game ever, they all join other teams for 'an occasional pcw' and then at the end of summer they all come back.
Happens EVERY summer.
Though I guess it means zP lan is definitely not happening as zP and rockit are done?

we will probably stay together as a team and look into options to play another game together were we can make love on lans :)

i can only say my situation.....
i cant stay 3 days in nederlands for a lan cuz i dont have enought money.. it would be great but i cant.. thats personal, and i think another players have my problem too

but the comunity is strong man, relax.. what happens is that a lot of players cant go for age, money or their parents dont let them go..
but in these 2 years dods is better than never no?

I don't know why everyone thinks zP LAN is so imperative to DoDS remaining a functioning game. Failed one in January and it didn't kill the game. Won't make the slightest difference to the scene, except that rockit, cm and zP are gone, no more dominant teams, which gives other teams the chance and encouragement to step up and play for
#1 spot.
DoDS can only get better from losing the three big names.
