The general quality of the movies was above all expectations, I'll be the first to admit that. All the movies had their own touches and styles, and pulled those styles off really well, which again made it tough to decide on who was better. In NORDiQ, it's important to edit a video in a way which isn't over the top, and as it's mentioned in the review, subtle. That's based on the little feedback we've gotten from clients.
Also, joey wasn't ranked 1st by all the judges. As far as I can recall, both nazz and calipzo were ranked 1st by some of us. The overall score of joey was the highest though.

Apparently it was. Joey's movie was a better over all package, although some of the effects he used were not as clean or crisp as they could be this shows that he has some potential and can improve. The syncing was great, frags were good, the music fit quite well and the movie generally summed up the personality of phn. There are some elements of comedy in there that makes it an enjoyable watch, as for the other entries I don't think many of the others come close as a complete package.
Jitz's was another good entry because he took the idea from several other sources and incorporated it into one meaningful project. The models of redskull was something new as well as the colours used which combined well with the music. Everything was very well thought out and the syncing of each of the frags gave the movie and even flow.
As for the MAJORITY of other entries it looks like frags and music were thrown into vegas without any real thought. People seemed to be trying to hard and using any old effect and not really sync it in order to 'wow' the judges with big effects.
Another note, I am sure I speak for quite a few people here when I say I am sick of the way some of these movie makers are acting on here. Throwing handbags around like a couple of nerd queers, complaining about other peoples frags, hating on others work maybe because they're jealous I don't know. Try giving some constructive criticism and help others improve instead of trying to stick the knife in, I got some criticism for all you movie makers try making your own frags in game against top teams without hud death abusing a 30 second 3 man.
I am getting bored of this 'high and mighty' routine, sit down and shut up will you jeez.

i'm not happy either with alot of things that ppl say here ... but hey... screw them !!!
and dont worry ... i wont be making fragmovies again so soon ... so like you politely put, "Sit down and Shut up", or better yet learn about moviemaking first, then come here and post w/e you want about it!!

I never said I had much experience in movie making, What's that get to do with anything I posted in
#24? Are you that clueless? It doesn't matter how much experience I have, I can still have knowledge about a subject. I am guessing your a really shit dods player that is trying to seek a little bit of internet fame from movie making because your incapable of getting to a decent level on dods of all games.
It's not expressing yourself when you are deliberately putting other people down, It's like me saying where are your dods skills? They don't quite match up with mine.

jesus, nazz you are whining as if you got last, though there are still 5 people who got ranked even lower, me including ;D
i think people dont understand that rating a fragmovie is highly subjective anyway
for example if you ask 10 different people on the street about their favourite film, you'll probably get 10 different answers
why do you get 10 different answers?
cause beauty is in the eye of the beholder, its a matter of taste
same counts for music and art
that makes discussions about it pretty hard, especially when you try to rank you own stuff, cause you are extremly biased
i'm just happy that rich liked mine :p

I enjoyed the movies. Altho, joeys was more fast paced and he didnt seem to abuse the frags as much. Nazz vid was really cool, nice intro with player presentation but the lightnings became to exaggerated at taziks frags. I must have missed the weather report since I couldnt see any warnings on thunder and lightnings.
So no point to discuss the outcome placements. Gratz to joey and good work all off you, keep it up

joey's was the only movie that kept me watching the whole way. I found myself fast-forwarding through most of the other entries, trying to avoid being bored to death. The pace was perfect for a fragmovie, loved the bits of humor, and the music choice was awesome as well (except for the third song :D).
