1. That fucking devil worshipper David Cameron does not hold an overall majority. Mercifully, this means that he cannot kick down the door of your house and eat your children on sight. More realistically, it gives a check to the Conservatives' bullshit policies on things like the Digital Economy Bill and the European Union.
2. It places the Liberal Democrats firmly in the position of most important party in the UK. Both David Cameron and Gordon Brown now have to sweet talk their way into Nick Clegg's pants. As we all know, Nick Clegg is a pretty cool guy and the Conservatives have some pretty intelligent and forward thinking proposals for governmental and electoral reform. This means we may well be seeing a great deal more Lib Dem policy regardless of their tiny portion of seats. Also, Nick Clegg doesn't afraid of anything.
3. Hopefully, a hung parliament will rest the laurels of responsibility on the heads of those parties that truly represent their constituents. With both the Scottish and Welsh nationalists stating emphatically that they will vote on each issue raised by their inherent value, we can only hope that the Lib Dems don't prove us all wrong and chuck their shit in with the two big parties for lulz. By the swing voters voting solely on each bill's own individual merits, we might actually see some actual positive change in our country for once.
4. As the Lib Dems take a more forward and relevant role in future politics, people will begin to realise that not only is Nick Clegg and his party a) more than capable of running the country, that b) Nick Clegg would be a damn fat Prime Minister. This means when the Lib Dems decide to fuck up people's shit by using their position to do the worst a hung parliament can offer; ie Voting out each bill for the lulz. More bitches are going to wise up and vote for the guy. Which has got to be a plus.
5. Proportional Representation, read up on it. Nick Clegg wants it, the other two parties don't. I fuckin' wonder why.
Anyway, hope you guys learned something and are as excited about this as me.
Peace y'all.
Smell ya later!

In actuality the entire situation probably arose from a single off-hand comment that probably came across as far more insulting than was intended, yet from a series of escalating comments it has been blown completely out of proportion. The situation got me thinking though; in the past I've been one for e-thuggary, snide comments and genuine anger over the internet, not just here on zeroPoint but on the few other forums that I used to browse on a regular basis and though I feel I've mellowed out as I've matured, I've still not completely reigned in my tendency for biting words.
It's something I think that's more common among, but not entirely reserved to British people. Don't get me wrong, there are some awesome European flamers amongst us (the name Hogan springs to mind) but somehow I feel that it's less genuine with them and more a personality quirk. My fellow Britons on the other hand appear to have an amazing capacity to dislike people they've never even spoken to. I've another friend I met at zP! LAN for the first time who on the mention of a particular player's name would loudly and publicly pronounce him any number of four letter words you'd care to imagine.
I've fallen into this trap myself in the past. For some reason, one I'm not even sure of myself, I fell into the habit of regarding a particular player as arrogant, rude and a whole host of other unpleasant words that I probably shouldn't publish here. Whether he even recognised that I considered him thus, or if he cared in the slightest I couldn't exactly say but these ideas stuck with me for quite a long time. Needless to say, when I came face to face with this guy in August, none of those things I'd thought of him were true and as it ended up, exactly the opposite was true. We aren't quite best friends for life now, but I'm quite happy to admit that I was completely wrong and that he's an exceptionally nice guy.
There's almost certainly something about the internet and the inherent anonymity that causes this escalating bad blood between people. For some reason after a single negative comment it seems more logical, whether to save face or just because it's easier, to indiscriminately flame, rather than make an attempt to resolve the issue that arose in the first place.
Of course, occasionally this bad blood does erupt into real life in quite shocking ways. I'm not sure which, if any, of the rumours I've heard regarding the fight at zP! LAN can be believed, but any physical violence arising from a game of DoD:S and internet forum trolling is not just inexcusable but seriously pathetic. Anyone who considers a physical alteration the correct response to any internet slight needs to seriously reconsider their life.
That said, people also need to learn that people have a finite amount of tolerance that you can abuse and that after a certain amount of pushing, they're going to lash out, though hopefully in more creative ways than resorting to physical violence.
So, my advice to you is that the next time you've been slighted by someone, go talk to them for ten minutes like an adult instead of just retorting in kind. And to you; those who pick, flame and grief others; if you can't laugh it off when the shoe is on the other foot, stay out of the shoe shop... or something.

For those of you that left early, let me just say that I don't think Calle awoke on sunday morning thinking he might suddenly attacked by a large, drunk and babbling british guy at 8pm.
Anyway, major props to the WZZRD guys who, thankfully, didn't take it too seriously. To tickle, who saved my ass at Enschede train station and to Snow, who just laughed at me the entire night.
I will say one thing though, THOSE FUCKING HANDCUFFS HURT!
Peace.

Friction 8 is NOT the default source setting.
Friction 8 was implemented by the playerbase to balance the fact that lights were wildly inaccurate.
Friction 4 can now be reimplemented into beta because lights now shoot things.
Please stop saying that the friction is bugged, because it isn't. It is set to 4 in every other source game.
Good day.
