zP! LAN New Sponsor + Prizes
With the event getting closer and closer we now have 23 teams signed up. Even though registration is now closed, we will still accept a 24th and last team. We hope everyone is as excited as we are in zeroPoint!
The last months we have been trying to get a nice prize pool together. It is our opinion that a LAN event on this scale and with the close community that we are, that we had to have product prizes as well. Of course we spoke to our sponsor ROCCAT before anyone else to see whether they could help us out. zP! LAN: Update x5
The registration process for the zpgaming.eu LAN have now been open for almost a month. With initially over 30 teams signing up it's a big dissapointment for us to see that only 15 teams have completed the registration with payment so far.
With only a week left until the registration closes we recently made an update to the previous news regarding this LAN event stating that 24 teams would be a minimum requirement to make this LAN happen. We later changed it to 20 and now we are changing it again.
We have decided to run the event as long as 16 or more teams completes the registration process and with 15 teams signed up and a few to come we are almost certain that the event will be held. The reason for this sudden change is to make sure attending teams and players can start book flights and hotels/hostels in order to attend this event. READ MORE
zP! LAN: Registration Open For Everyone
Together with the announcement that the real registration had openend for the zpgaming.eu LAN we said that the registration would open for the none-pre-registered teams on the 31st May. As that date has passed by now the registration is now open for everyone.
So far about 11 teams have made the payments and secured themselves a spot in the tournament taking place in Enschede, Netherlands at the 28-30th August this year. As it looks like right now we will set the amount of teams to 24 teams but that can be changed if we reach that number at an early stage.
The registration will close at the 1st of July which means you have about four weeks to secure yourself and your team a spot in the Day of Defeat: Source LAN event of the year! READ MORE
zP! LAN: Registration Live
Last month we announced the zpgaming.eu LAN and have received lots of pre-registrations from teams. Today we are happy to announce that the real registration is going live! We can also announce that the prizemoney will be atleast €2500 with 24 teams attending, which we are sure of getting.
We are also talking to several companies about both raising the prizemoney and for hardware prizes. We can already now tell you that ROCCAT will be adding several of their products to the prize list.
As promised the teams that signed up during the pre-registration period will have a small advantage. The teams listed below have one week from today to complete the payment of 210 euro. If we have not received payment by Monday the 31st of May we will remove the teams that have not yet paid from the list and any team can get themselves a spot on this great upcoming event. READ MORE
zP! Announce LAN Event
A couple of weeks ago we asked for the communities opinions regarding our own, coming LAN event. After going through the answers and questions we talked to some gamecenters in the Netherlands, the location we felt would suit this event the best. After some negotiating we decided to go forward with one gamecenter that's known for arranging great offline events, especially for minor games.
The zpgaming.eu LAN event will take place at WZZRD's gamecenter in Enschede, Netherlands between the 28th and 30th August this year. We will open the pre-registration today with the regular registration (with payment) open in about a month.
Pre-registration will be open for all teams that intend to attend this event. If you register your team during the pre-registration period you will get the opportunity to register and pay for your team one week ahead of all the other teams. At this point we have a set amount of teams at 24 teams, but we can and will increase that if we need to.
As it's very early and the event is over four months ahead of us we do not want to tell what kind of prizemoney figure we intend to have as it will depend on the amount of registered teams, but we will make sure it will be an event worth attending.
